I dont know how old this blog is, I am from South Africa last night at 10:30 i recieved the same call, i listened through but as soon as i heard that you have to pay six HUNDRED odd dollars through your credit card over the phone immediately i knew it was a scam. The first thing they ask you when you answer after they told you you have won a holiday is do you remember the competition you entered and then they ask you if you have a mastercard or a visa card. When they requested to confirm my banking details with them i told the guy his name is Thomas that i am not comfortable giving out my account details over the phone, he started to get rood, i asked for his number he gave it to me and told me if i dont pay now confirming my details (actually giving him my details) they will have to give the holiday package to a other family...BULLL SHIT!!! People should whatch out for this kind of sh*t!!! Luckily some of us are too clever for these kind of scams!!! Too many are going around!

I received a call today. First they get you excited about winning a holiday, but the moment they say that they needed to verify things and asked for my credit card details as most of the trip is paid for, all the red flags went up.
I told them that there was no way that I was giving out this information. They tried to tell me that the holiday was a Visa/Mastercard promotion and that they needed verification that I owned a mastercard.
First of all, if it was a Mastercard promotion, they would know that I was a member.
I called them up immediately and report the incident. I hope everyone is aware!

I'm not sure. It just worked for me straight away. I didn't have to make any changes. It seems EasyBCD found and set up the OS X by itself.
I reinstalled Win7 now I have a full version (I had a beta before) and just today reinstalled EasyBCD and added the OS X to the bootlist and it worked.

hello,

first of all i wanted to thank you because your post really stopped me from getting more frustrated with my dell. consider yourself as my own personal savior now. it all worked out fine!
except for one thing. i cannot get the easybcd configuration right.

1. i installed windows 7 64bit
2. i installed osx ipc 10.5.6
all good!
3. i installed easybcd 2.0 beta
4. restart
5. cannot get the osx to start, booting windows 7 without any problems.

it would be great if you could answer some questions for me. i have been searching around but it just does not seem to work out for me.

1. you add the osx entry, right? which drive does easybcd select? C? it does not find the osx partition and i cannot figure it out. C does not work for me.
2. or is there something else i forgot?
3. which settings do you use? i could install easybcd 1.72, too. i have tried that version also.

i would really appreciate your help. thx in advance.

I updated my Asus eeePC fine with the software updater, but haven't tried it with the Dimension. In fact, I've not used my Hackint0sh install on the Dell for the last two months but soon will since the 3D game designing program "Unity" is now 100% FREE!

Wow, you posted this on my birthday and I have an old dimension 9150 that I wanted to turn into an osx86 machine. i guess its meant to be. thanks for giving me hope! this is my first time doing this and i am a complete noob to it so i might be asking you for questions if i run into issues.

I was called two days ago. First some guy told me I had won a FREE holiday. I immediatly asked what the catch was. There were many. In the end they ask you for about a 1000 dollars! So NEVER give your creditcard number! (i didn't, luckily)

Yes I got ripped off big time by mygrandvacations.com - ALL ABSOLUTE LIES AND DISHONESTY!!!!! They promised to refund my money and have done nothing!

After many phone calls and emails and then spending approximately 2-3 hours on the phone today trying to get help from youir customer service, I have decided that I will make a formal complaint to Consumer Affairs. Not at any stage of my many phone calls did anyone try and offer any propper assistance. I consider Joseph's lame advice and assistance as poor service to my real issues.

I rang the number I was given when speaking with Sebastian, Mark Snider and Gerry McIve in December. That number was 1800 069 385 and I have rung it numerous times before throughout December and January. I have also rung the direct number to America which was 0011 1 (800) 684 2058. The same people answered the phone and I got the feeling that they were playing games with me - big time. I was put on hold so many times it was unbelievable. I was transferred to voice mails so many times I couldn't believe it even when I mentioned I was from Australia, it was the middle of the night and I wanted to speak with someone directly. If that is what you call customer service it may be time to employ genuine, sincere, helpful and honest telephone assistants whose priority is to 'help the customer'. I just hope that the 1800 number was a free call service for me otherwise I am up for a massive phone bill.

I am in desperate need of my money back which was withdrawn from my account on the 12th of December and want to organise this immediately. I am prepared to take this matter further if I am not assisted promptly as I am totally disgusted by the service I was given at a time when I could have been sleeping and resting in the middle of the night in Australia.

I am extremely unhappy about this.
